My biggest lesson

While browsing through www.hyipinvestment.com I saw an ad that was called ‘Century Returns LTD’. I clicked on it and up came a page, basically said that it will return 100% profit in 7 days. Ok so I looked in the forum, I saw posts here and there saying they were getting paid. I started to enquire about the program. I emailed the admin and asked

“How do you make your money “

A James Tremmier replied

“ We trade stocks and commodities using the W.D Gann method, with his methods it is possible to make 150% - 300% in under a week. We are backed with www.aeroinvest.com with a $2m deposit so if anything happens to the funds you will be ok. “

I looked up W.D Gann and it looked impressive that this guy was able to do this back in his time. www.aeroinvest.com were also using the Gann method to trade which even got me more excited, but not enough to just jump straight in. Not at one point did I think to contact www.aeroinvest.com whether or not James Tremmier had any connection with them. A stupid move as I was just blinded by what was offered in front of me.

I started to PM the forum members for answers
‘ Is it true etc ‘
Many replied but one guy offered to contact me via email outside the forum.
The guy explained that James Tremmier is not a scammer and he is actually paying out, basically praising him like he’s god. It did cross my mind that he might have the been the scammer himself but I thought id give it a chance. No risk no gain. He even showed me screen shots of his e-gold account $10,000 paid quite a few times.

I started posting on the forum for some quick questions, other members would as well as the scammer James Tremmier. With “his” Gann trading methods, he predicted that gold prices would rise…………it did. He predicted that the price would reach a certain level within a time frame…….it did again. He seemed like a genius. I was still emailing the forum guy for reassurance but this time he convinced me. Everything looked right. I saw some sort of proof that someone was getting paid, the atmosphere in the forum seemed positive, his gold predictions and his supposed methods were accurate. That seemed enough for me at the time to jump in. I didn't’t want to jump in small though, I wanted to catch a big fish then pull out. I stupidly enough deposited $3000. On the 4th day of the investment, I and many other members lossed out. We ended up making our own separate forum to “talk” about how we’ve been duped, 3 pages of discussion.
